Homicides attempted in Seaside; one victim now in stable condition
Two separate attempted homicides happened overnight in Seaside police said Sunday.
Police said in the first incident three individuals pulled over next to the victim’s car just after midnight Sunday near Mescal Street and Mingo Avenue and shots were fired.
The shooter has been described as a man in his late 20s with black hair pulled back away from his face and a goatee. The man’s car is described as a grey-colored, late 1990s to early 2000 model with a square back.
Police said the victim’s car was hit but no one was injured.
The victim is not believed to have any gang affiliations, said police.
This crime is being investigated as a gang related shooting.
Police said a separate incident took place a few hours later. In the second case, a man was stabbed during an altercation with co-workers at the Magic Carpet Lodge on Fremont Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m.
The victim was taken to a trauma center where he is now in stable conditions.
This incident is not believed to be a gang related crime.
