Body found near Bird Rock identified
UPDATE 1/27/2017 12:00 PM: The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said they have recovered the body of one of two people who went into the water near Bird Rock in Pebble Beach on Saturday. The Sheriff identified the victim as Juang Jin Feng, 52, of Guang Zhan, China. The second person has not be located.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office says it is working to recover a body near Bird Rock in the Pebble Beach area.
There was no immediate confirmation that the body is one of two people who went missing in heavy surf on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter and CalFire crews were unable to locate the missing persons Saturday.
