Santa Cruz police searching for prowler and burglary suspects

Santa Cruz police are asking for the public’s help finding a suspected prowler and three burglary suspects.

According to police, a man was caught on surveillance cameras twice on January 21 st and the 23 rd lurking around homes near Laurent Street. He was wearing the same clothing in each of the videos.

Santa Cruz Police Westside Patrol and Neighbors are working to identify the suspect.

Police are also looking for three people who broke into an office and storage shed at the Delaveaga Parks and Recreation Department on January 23 rd .

Police said they used a battery-operated concrete saw to remove the doors and stole various landscaping equipment including Stihl brand 20″ chainsaws and air blowers.

The suspects also caused about $2,000 worth of property damage.

They were wearing dark clothing, gloves, and covered their faces with masks.
