Flash flood warning for San Lorenzo River

The National Weather Service in Monterey has issued a flash flood warning for areas along the San Lorenzo River.

This includes communities between Ben Lomand and Santa Cruz. The warning is in effect through 10:30am Sunday.

The NWS says gage readings at Big Trees in Felton indicate water levels have reached flood stage. Paradise Park would first be affected. Felton Grove is also expected to flood.

Other low lying areas near the Tannery Arts Center in Center Cruz may also experience flooding, according to the NWS.
