Storm triggers slide and slipout in Scotts Valley

Sunday’s storm has created some challenges for residents of Scotts Valley.

KION’s photographer found this slipout on Nelson Road. It’s listed as one of the many road closures in Santa Cruz County by the Public Work’s Department.

Drivers are also being asked to avoid the area of Cadillac Road while emergency crews deal with a mudslide, according to the Scotts Valley Police Department. The road is closed between 855 and 833 Cadillac Dr.

Residents living on Cadillac Drive can get through using the open gate at Ridgecrest.
