Thousands without power on central coast

Thousands of people are without power throughout the central coast, according to PG&E.

In Salinas alone, there are more than 1,500 people without power and about 500 in Chualar.

On the Monterey Peninsula, there are nearly 1,000 people experiencing a power outage.

There are nearly 1,300 people with no power in the Prunedale area.

Over a thousand people near the Capitola and Soquel area are without power. In Scotts Valley, there are over 280 people being affected.
