Styx to play local Carmel venue
If you’ve got too much time on your hands Wednesday night, come sail away to the Sunset Center in Carmel for a great cause.
The one and only 80’s phenomenon Styx will be rocking out in Carmel-By-The-Sea. The band behind huge hits like Mr. Roboto, Renegade, and Lady will play the 700-seat Sunset Center, and for a great cause. All proceeds will go to the Beacon House, a local center for battling drug and alcohol abuse. The promoter for the show loves when his bands play the Sunset Center.
“It’s incredible, I mean it’s really beautiful. I’ve worked in several theatres around the country and sometimes you’ll get a small, funk theatre which is nice, but the caliber of this is so incredible, it’s…there’s very few theatres that are this nice in the country,” said Concert Promoter Joe Fletcher.
The Sunset is no stranger to big names playing there, with acts like Jackson Brown, Peter Frampton, Ziggy Marley, and Crosby, Stills and Nash to name a few. For Styx, it will be there first time here with an eight o’clock show Wednesday night. For tickets, here to http://sunsetcenter.tix.com/Event.aspx?EventCode=916046
