Carmel levee overflows, forcing evacuations

According to the National Weather Service, the Carmel River is spilling over the levee and has flooded about 10 homes.

The homes affected are on the Carmel River at Paso Hondo. Water rescues and evacuations are currently underway.

Carmel Valley Village is also expected to see some flooding.
