EXPIRED: Flash Flood Watch in Soberanes Fire burn area

A Flash Flood Watch continues for the Santa Lucia Mountains and Los Padres National Forest until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Rainfall rates in excess of ¾ inch per hour are possible through the afternoon, and during heavy downpours flash flooding or debris flow are likely to occur. There is an increased chance of debris flows in and below the Soberanes Fire burn area.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
