No leads in disappearance of L.A. area couple
UPDATE 1/2/17 10:50 AM: Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies conducted an air search for a couple who went missing on a weekend trip to Big Sur.
The Sheriff’s Office posted video from the search Saturday on its Facebook page. According to the post, the Sheriff’s aero squadron was assisted by ground units from the California Highway Patrol, California Fish and Wildlife and California State Park Rangers.
Intermittent rain and 30 degree temperatures forced the aircrew to shorten its search efforts after several passes along the coastline.
The Sheriff’s Office reported no further leads into the whereabouts of Olivia Hannah Gonzalez and Brian Fernandez of North Hollywood. They were last seen on December 23, 2016, when they left for Big Sur. They were expected to return on Christmas Day.
