Watsonville kidnapping suspect captured in Mexico
The FBI and Mexican authorities captured a Watsonville man wanted for kidnapping, rape and child prostitution in Mexico.
William Ortiz Ruiz, 21, was extradited to the U.S. from San Bartolome, Coro, Michoacan, Mexico after he was taken into custody on December 23, 2016, according to the Watsonville Police Department.
Ruiz was flown to San Jose International Airport and handed over to detectives with the Watsonville Police Department.
The Watsonville Police Department says the case involves one child.
