CHP investigation on Highway 101 in Salinas

Highway 101 south near Boranda is closed, according to CHP. Traffic is backed up on 101 south, all lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted by Boranda.

Not many details are known, but according to CHP, a person was struck by a vehicle or vehicles on the freeway and officers are investigating what happened.

CHP says all lanes should open shortly.
