Construction underway at Pebble Beach Golf Course
When you’re at Pebble Beach you can’t but help notice the breathtaking views, lush greens, ocean breeze, and now construction.
“Right behind us is our new fairway one project. We’re going to be adding 38 rooms to the Lodge. Also two golf cottages, four bedrooms each with a 1,000 sq. foot living space. In addition to that were also adding a 7,500 square foot meeting facility,” said Pebble Beach Company Executive Vice President David Stivers.
Pebble Beach Company also plans to renovate every single room over the next two years.
“This year we started phase two which is doing another 50 odd rooms at the lodge, as long as starting the renovation at the inn. So this is something were going to be doing now until early 2019,” said Stivers.
2019 is when everything must be done. Pebble Beach Resorts will be celebrating their 100th anniversary. That’s also the year when players from around the world will arrive to compete in the US Open.
“They’re giving us the honor by having us host during our 100th anniversary. The superstars of the game have always stepped up and excelled at US Opens at Pebble Beach, it’s because Pebble Beach is a great test to golf in an absolute beautiful location,” said Stivers.
