Greenfield police target neighborhood blight

Police say there’s a direct correlation between rundown neighborhoods and crime. In Greenfield, police have decided to start issuing citations.

The enforcement process was a long time coming. Police say they’ve been warning residents about neighborhood code violations for a long time. Issuing citations may also take awhile. Police say there are lots of areas that need attention.

Tonight at 6 p.m., KION’s Matt Sizemore takes a closer look at the city’s clean up efforts.
