Deadly crash reported outside Pebble Beach gate

UPDATE 12/9/16 11:56 AM:

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash outside the Samuel F.B. Morse gate to Pebble Beach.

According the the CHP, Ariel U. Sanchez, 38, of Pacific Grove was killed when his silver Toyota Supra went off the road and hit a tree. The car was found 40 feet off the road, down an 8 foot embankment.

Officers aren’t sure when the accident occurred or if weather was a factor. With more rain in the forecast, the CHP reminds drivers to slow down and drive safely.
