Armed robbery at Salinas sandwich shop

Police are searching for two men who robbed a Salinas sandwich shop Tuesday evening. It happened in the Harden Ranch Shopping Center on N. Main Street just after 6:45 p.m.

According to the Salinas Police Department, one of the men approached two 17-year-old employees, pointed a small gun at them and demanded they open the register.

The first suspect took cash, while the second suspect watched three customers and the door.

Both were able to flee eastbound on Harden Parkway.

Suspect one is described as about 5’11” and thin, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white bandana over his face. Suspect two is 5’5″ and medium to heavy set, wearing a grey sweatshirt with a yellow bandana.
