Work begins to drain water at Pajaro Dunes
It happens almost every winter. Water backs up behind a sand bar at the mouth of the Pajaro River and floods nearby neighborhoods. It happened this year, too.
The area around the homes and vacation rentals at Pajaro Dunes has been flooded for several weeks. On Thursday, the county stepped in with heavy equipment to move the sand and get water draining into the bay.
KION’s Matt Sizemore was on hand as work got underway today. Look for his report tonight at 5 and 6 on KION 5/46.
