Grant awarded to Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County will receive a $5,000 grant from the Lucky Supermarkets and Save Mart companies.

The grant is one of 11 that were announced Tuesday by the Save Mart C.A.R.E.S. Foundation in conjunction with Giving Tuesday.

According to the companies, the grant will support the Boys and Girls Clubs’ use of MobyMax, a tablet-based program that helps K-8 students improve math skills.

The Save Mart C.A.R.E.S. Foundation announced it has approved about $300,000 in grants to about three dozen non-profit groups.
