Salinas police investigate attempted murder
The Salinas Police Department is investigating an attempted murder.
It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sun Street and Calle Cebu.
The 30-year-old victim was at a stop sign when the suspect tapped on his passenger window with a gun, asking where he was from.
The victim attempted to speed away, but the suspect fired one shot into the window.
That bullet struck the driver side door, without harming the victim.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his twenties, about 5’6″ and 135 lbs. He has brown hair, brown eyes and was wearing a light grey hoodie with khaki pants.
