Soledad PD investigates overnight homicide
Soledad police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 200 block of Second Street when officers responded to a call of a person who had been shot on the front porch of his home.
Upon arrival, police found 33-year-old Juan Francisco Rodriguez Gallo Jr., who had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead on scene.
According to witnesses, he was sitting on a bench playing video games on his phone when the suspect approached him on foot. After exchanging words, the man shot and killed the victim before leaving on foot.
He’s described as an adult male, 5′-6″ to 5’9 wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
