First responders train in Hollister
If there seemed to be an unusual number of police, fire and first responders at the Premiere Cinemas in Hollister Thursday morning, it was due to an annual training exercise.
The city assured residents that there was no real threat or risk and asked the public avoid the area at 41 McCray Street.
The exercise included the Hollister Fire Dept., Hollister Police Dept., San Benito County Sheriff’s Dept., American Medical Response, Santa Cruz Regional 911, Stanford Life Flight Air Ambulance, Hazel Hawkins Hospital, FBI, American Red Cross, CERT and San Benito County Behavioral Department.
