Republicans celebrate Trump victory on the Central Coast
Republicans around the Central Coast are celebrating, as they’ve once again gained control of the White House. Many gathered at the Monterey County Republican viewing party to watch as Donald Trump was voted in to become the next commander-in-chief.
“It’s kind of the unknown, but we’re hopeful it’s going to be a good change,” said Trump supporter Jean Colliard.
“I have never been so overjoyed and my faith in humanity has been restored,” said Republican Martine Maitoza.
“It’s really a joy to celebrate this, and it’s one of those events we will remember the rest of our lives,” said Ron Maitoza.
“We’re hoping that there is going to be a change in how the trade deals work, and a fairer shot in how businesses can compete,” said Trump supporter Steve Spangler.
“I think people had a chance to really get beyond the personalities in the race and start to internalize what this meant for America,” said Maitoza.
