Measure Z passes

Late Tuesday night, Monterey County’s Measure Z was headed to victory.

With nearly 95 percent of the precincts reporting, the Yes on Z campaign had received 33,649 votes, or 55 percent of the vote. The No on Z campaign had received 26,999 or 44 percent of the votes cast.
