Admissions Tax fails in Pacific Grove

The City of Pacific Grove will not be levying an admission tax on events and attractions in the city. On Tuesday, voters overwhelmingly defeated Measure P.

No votes (3,844) outnumbered Yes votes (1,193). Measure P would have created a five percent tax on admission to theaters, museums and attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
