66-year-old man seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Watsonville
A 66-year-old man is battling life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Watsonville.
Police were dispatched to the area of Walker Street and West Lake Avenue just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night, for a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
Officers arrived and found an unconscious man near the intersection. He was transported to a local trauma center.
The driver of the vehicle did remain on scene to cooperate with the investigation. At this point, it does not appear as if alcohol or drugs were involved.
