Fire trucks add new challenges to Highway 68 traffic

Traffic between Salinas and Monterey on Highway 68 is especially heavy since the start of the Soberanes Fire. It’s the same on Laureles Grade and Highway 1. Fire crews are on the road traveling from their base camp at Toro Park to the fire lines south of Carmel.
