UPDATE: Lanes reopen after two cars burn on Highway 1 in Soquel

UPDATE 7/21/16 4:10 PM: California Highway Patrol said Highway 1 reopened at 3:39 p.m. Thursday afternoon after two cars caught on fire during a crash.

Officers said one man had minor injuries.

Heavy traffic is still reported in the area.

PREVIOUS STORY: Highway 1 northbound in Soquel is shut down Thursday afternoon as crews respond to two car fires, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers said traffic is being diverted off the highway at Bay Ave.

One person may be hurt, according to CHP.
