Two arrested in Seaside armed robbery spree, investigators say

Two men are facing multiple charges for two armed robberies earlier this week in Seaside.

Detectives with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team said Enrique Quinonez, 24, of Salinas and Anthony Sanchez-Contreras, 31, of Prunedale were arrested after officers found them in a car on Imjin Parkway on Wednesday.

Investigators said the first incident happened Monday just after 5pm at Seaside Garden Center. That’s where the victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by two men.

On Wednesday, a second armed robbery was reported at the Econo Lodge on Fremont Blvd, investigators said.

Quinonez and Sanchez-Contreras were taken to the Monterey County Jail and held without bail.
