Motorcycle rider killed in crash in Monterey County

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Monterey County.

According to officers, it happened on Nacimiento Lake Drive, south of Jolon Road in the unincorporated area of Bradley around 3:50 p.m. Monday, June 27th.

A 44-year-old man from Paso Robles crashed his Yamaha motorcycle into a FedEx delivery van.

Officers said the motorcycle rider veered onto the wrong side of the road and hit the van. The FedEx driver could not avoid the wreck.

The motorcycle rider was killed. Officers don’t know what caused the motorcycle rider to travel on the wrong side of the road.

Officers are now trying to figure out if drugs or alcohol were involved.
