Conflicting reports prompts Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office to shut down road after shooting

On Sunday night at 7:15 PM the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Ponderosa Avenue in Watsonville.

Different reports from neighbors on the ground and a large crime scene prompted law enforcement to shut down the road. A victim was located and airlifted to Natividad Medical Center. No arrests were made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
