Shots fired at a man in Watsonville

Watsonville Police are investigating reports of shots fired at the intersection of Brennan Street and Freedom Boulevard.

According to police, a man was standing on the corner of the intersection just after 5 p.m. Friday when someone in a tan four door vehicle reached out the window with a gun and fired four to five shots at the victim.

The driver of the car then took off. The victim also ran away and has not been found. Officers don’t know if he was hit by any of the bullets.

A tree, fence and a vehicle were hit when the suspect started shooting, but there were no reports of any injuries.
