UPDATE: King City man killed in Tuesday night shooting identified
UPDATE 6/8/16 1:30 PM: A 20-year-old man killed during a shooting in King City Tuesday night is being identified by police.
Investigators said Martin Heredia was shot twice in the chest and died a short time later. They said he was taken to the hospital by another person.
Police are still looking for a suspect and are asking anyone with information to call 831-386-5980or the anonymous tip line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
PREVIOUS STORY 6/8/16: King City police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.
It happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Cambridge Avenue. Police received a 911 call about five to seven shots heard in the area.
When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man had been taken to the hospital with two gunshot wounds to the chest. He later died because of his injuries.
No suspect information has been provided at this time.
