Man who killed 3 people outside Salinas restaurant sentenced
The man who shot to death three men outside of Taco’s Choice in Salinas will spend the rest of his life in prison.
On August 5, 2013, Giovanni Pacheco was eating and drinking at the restaurant with his family. Pacheco got into an argument outside over two women who were in his party.
What started out as a verbal argument turned deadly. Pacheco shot three men he was arguing with and four others in the crowd. The three men he killed are Edgar Salinas, 28, Victor Ortiz, 22, and Alejandro Hernandez, 25.
Pacheco was specifically sentenced to three terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 75 years to life for using a firearm to commit the three murders and another 35 years and 8 months for shooting four other people.
