POT BUST: Cultivation operation discovered in Copperhead Canyon

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and several other county agencies served a search warrant on a property in Copperhead Canyon and found over 2,500 marijuana plants growing in greenhouses on the property.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, there was no paperwork supporting the cultivation.

Authorities also found two dozen weapons and thousands of rounds of ammo. Three people were arrested: Aaron Grout, Justin Barrett, and Karl Neal.

Authorities said two of the people arrested were felons who were not allowed to have firearms.
