Hispanic man shot multiple times in Salinas Monday

A Hispanic man was shot multiple times Monday while walking along East Market Street towards Williams Road Monday, according to the Salinas Police Department.

The shooting happened after 5 p.m. Police said the 32-year-old man suffered multiple gunshots to his “lower extremities.” His injuries are non-life-threatening.

The suspect vehicle was described as a “lowered mid 2000’s Chevy extended cab pickup.”

Police said the shooting is being investigated as gang-related.
