Navy Exchange Autoport employee stabbed while working
UPDATE 3/17/16 4:50 PM: The victim in Thursday’s stabbing has been released, according to Naval Support Activity Monterey.
The victim is a mechanic that works at a retail/auto repair shop at NSA.
The suspect is still being questioned by NCIS. NCIS and the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office will determine the charges.
According to the NSA,the suspect has no known affiliation with Naval Support Activity Monterey, its tenants or the Department of Defense.
ORIGINAL STORY: A Navy Exchange Autoport employee is in the hospital after he was stabbed while working on a car Thursday morning.
The suspect is in custody at the Monterey Police Department. According to Naval Support Activity, there is no known motive at this time or any information on the suspect.
The victim was taken to Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and then transported to Natividad Medical Center.
