Deputies: Burglars use machete to threaten Carmel home invasion victims

UPDATE 2/22/16 3:17 AM: One suspect has been arrested and identified as 20-year-old Andrew Yucel Karaman.

Officials say they’re still searching for two other people, as well as more than $60,000 worth of stolen items.

PREVIOUS STORY: Monterey County Deputies are looking for two suspects who broke into a home in Carmel and threatened the two elderly residents with a machete and wrench.

The armed robbery happened on the 25000 block of N. Mesa Drive around 4:30 p.m., Saturday.

According to deputies, the victims were not hurt but the suspects were able to get away with several stolen items.
