Eastwood, Murray among stars in Pro-Am 3M Celebrity Challenge

UPDATE 2/11/2016 10:00AM

Thousands of people came out to watch 12 celebrities show off their skills. Teams were split into two, Team Eastwood vs. Team Murray. Team Eastwood had Colt Ford, Ray Romano, Gary Mule Deer, Larry the Cable Guy and Alfonso Ribeiro famously known as “Carlton,” from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

“I’ve been playing for about 25 years now so love the game, it’s a true passion of mine so just anytime I can be out here it’s a beautiful thing,” said Ribeiro.

Ribeiro marked his first celebrity challenge appearance on Wednesday. All participants played for a charity of their choice, and threw in some humor into their game as well. Larry the Cable Guy had his caddy camo’d out with a goffer attached, referencing the famous golf movie, “Caddyshack.”

“I like our team, we don’t have as many country folks but we got the guy that makes his own music, so that’s good, win or lose we’ll have brief time afterwards and we’ll have a victory lap,” said team captain, Bill Murray.

Murray’s team did win, with heavy hitters like Kenny G. and Toby Keith, both earned $50,000 each for their two charities. The opposing team captain knew they wouldn’t win with skills so he cracked some jokes.

“We’re not playing that great but we’re kind of hanging on with a tooth.” “We look fantastic though I mean we’re certainly the best looking twosome out here, at the end of the day we’re still winning, youngest and best looking,” said Clint Eastwood.

Some fans recognized Josh Duhamel from his hit movie, Transformers. Duhamel’s participated in the AT&T Pebble Beach Celebrity Challenge for the past six years.

“This is one of the highlights of my year I look forward to it. I love coming to this tournament I love Pebble Beach I love the Monterey area you know it’s just one of my favorite places in the world,” said Duhamel.

Duhamel was on the winning team, along with Huey Lewis and Clay Walker. Team Murray went home with the trophies but all celebs walked away with smiles, and at least $1,000 for charities.
