Jets land in Salinas for Super Bowl 50
Aircraft officials say jets have been landing in the Salinas Municipal Airport since Thursday because it’s much cheaper to park there than in the Bay Area.
Plus, the airport is close to the Hwy 101, making the drive to Levi’s Stadium more convenient.
“This is great for business and hopefully we get return business out of it, that’s what we set it up for,” said Clay Finley with Jet West. “That’s why we keep our costs low. We want them to know we’re here to help them and give them the best experience possible.”
The airport is expecting departures all day Sunday.
