72-year-old Gilroy man killed in early morning crash

The California High Patrol said a 72-year-old Gilroy man died after he drove off the road and crashed into a fence.

The accident happened on SR-85, south of Cottle Road, just after 1 a.m.

The crash is under investigation, but CHP does not suspect drugs and/or alcohol to be a factor.
