Fatal crash closes road near Hollister
UPDATE 2/1/2016 4:15 PM: The California Highway Patrol reports a 29-year-old man died in Monday’s crash.
According to witnesses, the driver made an unsafe turn, went off the road, overturned, and then collided with a PG&E pole.
At this time, CHP said they’re not sure whether drugs and/or alcohol were involved.
ORIGINAL STORY: Shore Road is closed between Lover’s Lane and San Felipe Road Monday morning in the Hollister area, as The California Highway Patrol investigates a fatal accident.
School buses are being rerouted, along with all other traffic.The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m Monday, when a car ran into a telephone pole.
Officials are on scene investigating as PG&E works to repair that power line.
No word yet on how many people were killed in the crash.
