Roads closed in Capitola after shooting

Santa Cruz County Deputies are asking drivers to avoid Capitola Road between 7th and 17th Avenues Tuesday morning, as they process the scene of a shooting.

The shooting happened just before 5:00 a.m. near the intersection of Jose Avenue and Capitola Road. More details on the shooting have not been released yet.

Traffic will be affected as road closures are in place. Avoid the area until further notice.
