Salinas sandbag sites open for weekend storms

Sandbag distribution sites are set up all around Salinas. The one at 426 Work Street has a shovel for people to use, however it’s recommended to bring one with you just in case. Ten bags per person are allowed for each resident of Salinas.

On mornings without rain, street sweepers begin cleaning the streets at 5:00 A.M., however if it’s raining they’ll switch gears and start cleaning storm drains. If you see them out there make sure you slow down and give them plenty of room.
