UPDATE: Salinas resident victim of fatal Greyhound Bus crash

UPDATE: 1/12/16 7:32 A.M.The Santa Clara County Coroner confirms the second fatal victim of yesterday’s tragic Greyhound bus crash is 76-year-old Maria De Jesus Ortiz Velasquez from Salinas.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Two people were killed and at least six injured in a Greyhound Bus crash on northbound U.S. Highway 101 near northbound state Highway 85 in San Jose Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 6:38 a.m. near the connector ramp between northbound Highway 101 and northbound Highway 85 during a steady rain, CHP officials said.

The bus appears to have been the only vehicle involved in the crash.
