Wednesday road hazards and closures

Rain started to fall across the Central Coast around 3 a.m. Wednesday, and a number of accidents and road hazards followed.

MONTEREY COUNTY:

MONTEREY –

2:22 PM: MUDSLIDE at Corral de Tierra Road and Vista Dorado.

ROYAL OAKS –

1:55 PM: CAR INTO DRAINAGE DITCH on San Miguel Canyon Road near Vega Road.

SEASIDE –

12:49 PM: FIVE-CAR ACCIDENT with minor injury on State Route 1 near Fremont Street.

KING CITY –

10:47 AM: FOUR MUDSLIDES up and down Arroyo Seco Road

11:21 AM: CAR ACCIDENT on Highway 101 at Arroyo Seco Road

CARMEL –

10:25 AM: MUDSLIDE at Outlook Drive and Pine Hills Drive

SALINAS –

9:49 AM: POWER LINE DOWN on Langley Canyon Road

9:40 AM: FLOODING at San Juan Grade Road near Rogge Road

6:30 AM: ROAD CLOSURE at Hartnell Road and U.S. 101 North (CHP officials said it will likely be closed until it stops raining)

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY

BOULDER CREEK-

5:15 PM: ROAD CLOSURE at Bear Creek Road at MM 2.76 due to rock slide (CHP officials said it will be closed throughout the night)

WATSONVILLE –

10:55 AM: ROADWAY FLOODING at San Andreas Road and Beach Road with several vehicles stuck. Avoid the area.

6:15 AM: MUDSLIDE at Hall and Las Lomas Drive (CHP officials said it should be cleared by now)

LOS GATOS –

9:11 AM: MUDSLIDE on Bear Creek Road
