Deputies investigate Salinas’ second shooting in one day

UPDATE: 1/5/16 7:22 A.M. Deputies have identified the victim of Monday night’s shooting nearHiguera Lane.Efrain Pascual Vargas wastransported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment, and is in stable condition.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Monterey County Deputies, on Monday, are investigating Salinas’ second shooting within hours.

Deputies said a 20-year-old Hispanic man was shot several times near Higuera Lane around 11 p.m.

The victim has been taken to a hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Investigators believe the suspects are two Hispanic men approximately 18-years-old.
