meterologist dann cianca high pressure builds in, warming us up a bit early this week. then rain and stronger winds return on thursday.***high surf warning***a high surf warning has been issued for all coastal areas in the monterey bay and down the big sur coast. a large northwest swell of 15-18ft will be present until 4am tuesday. monday: scattered high clouds and a few low clouds through the afternoon. expect temperature in the 50s to mid 60s on the coast and 60s to low 70s inland, dropping into the 50s after dark.overnight: partly cloudy skies overnight. some patchy fog is possible. low temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s on the coast and mid 30s to low 40s inland.tuesday: we’ll see mostly sunny skies with some passing high clouds in the afternoon. highs in the mid to upper 60s along the coast, and mid 60s to low 70s inland. extended: high pressure builds, flow remains onshore, so the coast will see some patchy low clouds. inland areas will be mostly sunny with highs above normal. the next storm system arrives on thursday and will bring more rain and wind to the region. then another storm is possible over the weekend as we stay in this active pattern.
