Salinas Police: “DUI enforcement resulted in far too many drunk driving arrests”

From December 18 to January 3, police arrested 123 people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in Monterey and San Benito Counties.

The holiday DUI enforcement was part of the “Avoid the 20” campaign and the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

Salinas Police said the, “DUI enforcement resulted in far too many drunk driving arrests countywide over the past 17 days.”

Over the same period last year, police arrested 117 people.
