College students attacked, robbed in Santa Cruz
The UC Santa Cruz Police Department is asking for your help finding four suspects who allegedly robbed and assaulted UCSC students Tuesday morning. Police said they even kidnapped one of the students.
The first attack happened after midnight on the 400 block of Front Street. Police said a UC Santa Cruz student was approached by three men and a woman at a bus stop. The victim reported he was robbed, attacked, threatened with knives, and forced to get inside a vehicle.
Police said the suspects drove to Oakes College, located on the UC Santa Cruz campus, where they forced the victim to take them to another dorm room. Two students were inside the dorm at the time. Police said they were attacked and robbed. A third roommate arrived during the assault and was “shoved into a wall by one of the suspects.”
Police said the suspects were able to get away.
All four victims suffered minor injuries. They were treated and release at the scene.
Below are the descriptions of the suspects:
Suspect 1:Latino man, 20 to 25-years-old, curly hair, taller than 6-feet, 200 pounds. He was wearing baggy jeans and a black beanie.
Suspect 2:White man, 20 to 25-years-old with light medium length hair, 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing jeans and a green, short sleeve shirt.
Suspect 3:White man, 20 to 25-years-old with shoulder length blonde or brown hair.
Suspect 4:White female, 19 to 23-years-old.
Police add the suspects also had a light brown pit bull with a white spot on its body.
