Suspicious envelope at Bubba Gump on Cannery Row
UPDATE 1/24/2015 9:40 AM: Monterey Police said hazmat crews determined the suspicious powder was some sort of sweetener.
Monterey fire crews quarantined the area during the investigation for about two hours Monday. Police are now trying to figure out where the envelope came from.

Hazmat crews responded to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on Cannery Row after an employee came across a suspicious envelope.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was white powder inside the envelope.
